Plus Designs, Inc. (PDI) was founded and incorporated under the laws of the state of Pennsylvania in May 2016.  PDI provides design and analysis engineering consulting services with emphasis on advanced materials, including composite materials, refractory metals, and refractory ceramics, to support the high temperature materials community in the aerospace and defense industries.

The founding principal has over twenty four years of aerospace engineering experience with composite materials, refractory metals, and refractory ceramics research supporting the development of advanced design solutions for extreme environment applications.

Relevant thermal-structural design and analysis experience with a variety of refractory metals, ceramics, alloys, superalloys, and composite materials including orthogonal weaves, polar weaves, braiding, involutes, filament winding, 2D layups, 4D layups, and needling.

The founding principal has contributed to several designs that have been tested by Northrop Grumman, Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), Allegany Ballistics Laboratory (ABL), Aerojet Rocketdyne, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and Redstone Arsenal. The founding principal has authored/coauthored well over 25 presentations given at various conferences including The Conference on Composites, Materials, and Structures (Cocoa Beach/Daytona Beach), Joint Army-Navy- NASA-Air Force (JANNAF) Rocket Nozzle Technology (RNTS), and The National Space and Missiles Materials Symposium (NSMMS).
